Quotes
THOMAS: You can't do this! I've seen what you've done to the others! Please let me go! I'll pay anything!
IVY: You've done enough damage with your money.
THOMAS: You wicked, evil--
IVY: Evil, Mrs. Thomas? I don't control a company that leveled a thousand year old forest for a strip mine! That's evil!
--
BRUCE: I hate it when things slip by me.
ALFRED: And with me helping you to answer your mail, nothing will. Ah, it says here you just won ten-million dollars.
BRUCE: That's nice.
--
BRUCE: Everyone's got a gimmick.
--
IVY (as Demeter): After years of research in my lab, I have developed this enzyme, Demetrite, the secret of eternal youth.
MAGGIE: Doesn't she look wonderful?
ALFRED: Not a day over ninety.
IVY (as Demeter): Here you'll fine Demetrite in the food, the water, even the air you breathe at night.
ALFRED (sarcastic): What a relaxing thought.
--
BATMAN: I'll search her penthouse.
GORDON: Good luck. We put that place under a microscope, and all we got was eyestrain. Maybe your bat-radar can--
GORDON LOOKS AROUND AND SEES THAT HE'S ALONE.
GORDON: Pft-- Never mind. . .
--
BRUCE: Alfred, are you okay?
ALFRED: Never better, sir! Everywhere I turn, I see another sign of nature's--
ALFRED SEES MAGGIE NAKED AND COVERED IN MUD.
ALFRED: Uh-- beauty.
--
BATMAN LOOKS AROUND TO SEE THE CAVE IS FULL OF FOLIAGE AND SHRUBBERY.
ALFRED: Good to see you, sir!
BATMAN: You too, Alfred. What's with the jungle?
ALFRED: I thought this drab old cave could use some colour. How does it look?
BATMAN (pauses): Green.
--
IVY: Actually, Batman, you and I are surprisingly alike. We both strive to see evil-doers punished! But while you have your gallery of rogues, I have my grove.
IVY UNCOVERS HER GALLERY OF TREE PEOPLE, FROZEN IN WOOD.
BATMAN: This can't be!
--
IVY: And I thought you believed in justice!
BATMAN: Justice, yes. But not the vengeance of an eco-terrorist. You're as destructive as those you punish.

Review: A very well done Poison Ivy story, which is rare now that she supposedly has to be teamed with Harley in order to be productive, which I find is the other way around. The idea of eternal youth through being turned into trees is a little far-fetched, but was handled well as to not cross the line into camp comedy.

The one main problem with this episode was the introduction and only appearance of Maggie Page. She seems to have some romantic interest to Alfred, but this is never elaborated on, or even explained. She also may know about Batman with her one line about Bruce's late nights. Although she could be referring to his playboy routine dates with many girls, but that seems unlikely since he never really had any dates in this series.

As for the animation, it was best for Poison Ivy, which no one can seem to get right in the old series. She always looked too much like a little girl, or to round. Here, she actually has some beauty, (which she is supposed to), and also maintains a older look while still remaining young. The other characters in this episode were a bit on the chunky side, especially Batman. Sometimes this works, but in this case, it did not.
