Mini-Review by RoyalRubble:

Good episode, and neat to see Professor Pyg and Mr. Toad back again on the show. Their previous appearances have been pretty entertaining and this was no exception. Their interactions are fun and their plot this time made some sense considering their pro-animal propaganda they've been using in previous episodes. Some great and amusing scenes, mixed in rather well with the action stuff. Their plan to unleash an animal army in Gotham was pretty cool, though we never got to see more of it.

Interesting to tie up Man-Bat's origin with Pyg and Toad. Somewhat different to his classic origin, but I think it all works out in this show's context. The fight scenes are well-done; especially loved Man-Bat's flight with Batman hanging on with his grappling hook to one of its legs, which was pretty reminiscent of how Batman: The Animated Series started, over 20 years ago - I'm guessing it was an intentional nod to that show. Either way, it was pulled off nicely. And now that Man-Bat is "cured", he's one more potential recruit for the Outsiders, alongside Metamorpho. I guess Barbara Gordon/Oracle would be another candidate, and I liked how Katana is trying to teach her some more self-defense moves.

Also really enjoyed the Bruce Wayne scenes in this episode, from his heart to hart talk with Alfred, to his meeting with Harvey Dent and Dane Lisslow. We learn more of Dent's true intentions and some of his bizarre sense of humor. Bruce and Lisslow on the other hand, seem to be forming a strange bond by discussing the martial arts they have studied over the years and the injuries they obtained by practicing them. "Keep your friends close but your enemies closer" - wonder how that will work out for Bruce in the end... and the fact he mentions Dane Lisslow reminds him of himself, sounds a little suspicious. Still, a pretty awesome episode overall.
