Right away in the first scene I noticed the "starter" (that's what
I'm going to call him) from the episode Speed Demons in the background.
You know who I'm talking about. He was the black man that started the
race between Flash and Superman. I thought this was quite ironic. Also
in the first scene when Prof. Blackwing walked up to great Lois, did you
notice that she acted just like she did when Bruce Wayne walked up to
her in World's Finest Part 1? She talked really fast and ended it with
saying, "This is Clark Kent."
The friction between Lois and Batman was great. I had always wondered
after World's Finest what would happen if they meet again. I think we
all have at one time or another. It was revealed that Lois was having
second thoughts about her and Bruce's relationship. She said that there
were several times that she had almost picked up the phone.
Unfortunately she was talking to herself. Because, as usual, Batman had
already disappeared. Ra's was his usual evil self but it was freaky to
see Ra's actually showing some of his age. Although the missing teeth
was kind of gross. Olivia Hussey wasn't as good at Tailia's voice like
Helen Slater was. The accent bugged me. It was nice that they didn't
change Ra's', Tailia's, and Ubu's designs that much from BTAS. But then
of course I like BTAS a whole lot more than TNBA. :)
The animation was for the most part smooth. One of the few mistakes I
noticed was that Batman's ears tended to get taller and taller the
longer episode went on. Before this episode I don't think I have ever
seen Superman sweat before. It looks real weird. Also when Superman was
trying to stop a train from reaching a break in a bridge Superman tended
to differ in size just about each time they showed a different angle of
it.
