Pans

One extremely great thing about this episode was the humor. Right as Dr. Hamilton says "I can't help but wonder what kind of intelligent life is out there", it pans up into the sky, fades into Lobo's mug and a loud belch ensues. Only a minute into the episode and you're already laughing.

It starts out with Lobo with his big fraggin' gun, blowing holes through a bar-like joint. After a hustle and bustle, he escapes with his bounty (Sqweek), and hops onto his hog, riding right into space. He's caught by the Preserver, who gives him a bounty--Superman. After some yelling and then a chest full of gold is dumped in front of him, he accepts the job. He heads off to Metropolis.

After he gets there, it's more of the humor, with him yelling, getting ready to set up a bomb (after his blowing most of the Police Dept.'s building apart failed as to garner Superman's attention), until Superman rushes in and disables it. After fighting some more and then finally throwing Lobo through Lex Corps building (where he mutters a very long string of alien cursing ["Flragginscraggin"]) and finally lands in the harbor. After another shuffle (this time in space), Lobo delivers Superman to the Preserver who then captures Lobo as well.

The animation in this episode was very smooth, and without any flaws (that I could find anyway--perhaps I was paying too much attention to Lobo and his crude/lude noises and remarks). Overall, this episode was extremely entertaining, up till the very end, where you can't wait for part 2.
