Agent Bennet discovers and arrests Bucky, the mysterious ally who's been helping Zee and Ro all along. Bucky sends out a distress call to our heroes, and the pair sneak onto Bennet's heavily-guarded supersonic transport to rescue him.

Review

The NSA finally finds Zeta and Ro's accomplice and they have to rescue Bucky.

The NSA has finally traced Zeta's recent e-messages and is shocked to find out their accomplice is a 13 year old boy. They raid Bucky's room at the Institute and haul him off for questioning but not before he activates a distress signal to Zeta and Ro. His message tells them that if he is in trouble he had put a tracer in his clothes and Zeta so that they could trace him if they had to. Ro is reluctant to save him but Zeta points out if the NSA discovers Bucky's remote control they would capture them for sure.

Bennett questions Bucky on a hover copter headed for headquarters and is frustrated by his lack of cooperation and flippant attitude. He is also shocked to be alerted by security that Zeta and Ro have actually boarded the hovercraft to rescue him and realizes that he must be VERY valuable. He assigns West to watch after Bucky while he goes to meet the security personnel that have cornered Zee and Ro. Bucky tricks West into letting him have a go on the computer and hijacks the steering drive on the hovercraft allowing his friends to escape. Unfortunately Rush HAS found the remote control and takes it to Bennett who manages to stop Zeta in his tracks. After West comes bursting out and tries to shoot Ro he accidentally blows a hole in the side of the ship that blows Zeta out. Horrified Ro runs off and collides with Bucky who suggests they take one of the escape pods. Bennett notices that Zeta is still clinging to the aircraft from the outside and goes out after him. Bucky and Ro see that Zeta is alive and rescue him. After they make a narrow escape Bucky fixes Zeta so that he can never be controlled by remote again. He says goodbye to Zee and Ro and is now a fugitive like they are. But he tells them not to worry and he will contact them soon.

I love Bucky. He has such a great love-hate dynamic with Ro and their back and forths are really funny. I love how he's such a wise guy and seeing him confound the agents who were prepared for anything but the terror of Bucky was a very enjoyable experience. I bet we all wish we were like Bucky as kids, outsmarting the grownups with only his wits and no superpowers or gadgets. He's very relatable. It's too bad that this was his final appearance.

As usual the character stuff on this show was great. Ro is so reluctant to help Bucky but I think deep down thinks of him as an annoying little brother. I also like Bennett and Bucky's face-to-face where Bennett strikes me as completely baffled as to why this kid would help Zeta and even more-so when he learns Zeta is trying to rescue him.

The animation in this episode was good. I didn't notice any real mistakes and I thought the character expressions were better done than usual. This was truly a funny and enjoyable episode that again makes me wish this series hadn't been cancelled.
